Where passionate craftsmanship and playful design meet

Storytelling through wood

In the 1970s, while refinishing family heirlooms and building a bedframe for a friend, David Anderson discovered a passion for woodworking. With no real expectation for what this passion would become, David began handcrafting custom pieces in his backyard—it eventually became a hobby that paid for itself.

From functional home furnishings to elaborate décor, David has poured thousands of hours into transforming reclaimed wood into fine art. Over the years, his love for woodworking has grown into a well-known pastime and David’s pieces now furnish properties, both residential and commercial. As the number of finished pieces grew , the DKA Woodworking site was launched to showcase galleries of David’s work.

As a tree grows, roots twist around obstacles and grow towards water. Injuries to the tree create knots and scars. The evidence of a tree’s life make the most beautiful art.
